ADDA
DIPUTACIÓN DE ALICANTE

The new Auditorium of the Diputación [Provincial Government] of Alicante, ADDA, is an emblematic space located in the Alicante city centre and designed to house both musical and artistic events, as well as congresses and conferences.

It has a surface area of 28,000 m2 and holds over 5,000 people. It was born with the vocation to become the flagship of convention tourism in Alicante, being a pioneering facility for its modern architecture and the diversity of formats available at its premises.

This building hosts symphonic concerts and chamber music with the aim of cultivating lyric art. It also boasts an area with a variety of rooms that can be used for congresses, events, conferences and colloquia.

The main access to the building, which has a polygonal floor plan, lies at Paseo de Campoamor. The building is organised in such a way that, regardless of the specific premises, the remaining rooms can have a twofold use. The circulations and independent accesses depending on its use, either for Concerts or for Congresses, as well as for artists, administration and services, have been studied to achieve that aim. This layout makes it possible to achieve a better performance of the building as a whole.

The Auditorium of the Diputación [Provincial Government] of Alicante is now consolidated as one of the cultural references in the Valencian Autonomous Region for all music lovers. A space open to a rich and varied programme which can combine excellence with wide popular acceptance. The ADDA equally offers a space to hold not only the most relevant events in the Alicante province but also those of national and international scope.
